Methodology

How We Test

Transparency about how we evaluate the tools we recommend.

Our process

Every tool we recommend is evaluated using a real account over a minimum of two weeks. We document what we find, including the limitations. We update articles when pricing or features change.

What we evaluate

  • Ease of Use (25%) — How quickly can a new user accomplish the core task?
  • Features (25%) — Does it do what it claims, and does it do it well?
  • Value (20%) — Is the price justified by what you get?
  • Support (15%) — How responsive and helpful is customer support?
  • Performance (15%) — Speed, reliability, and uptime where applicable.

What we don't do

  • We never accept payment for a positive review.
  • We don't recommend tools we haven't researched.
  • We don't hide limitations to make a product look better.
  • We don't rank products by commission rate.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This funds the research and testing that goes into every article. For full details, see our affiliate disclosure.

How we handle updates

We review articles periodically and update them when pricing changes, features are added or removed, or our testing reveals something new. The "last updated" date at the top of each article reflects the most recent meaningful change.
